Story 1: At Work
I met my best friend when I started my first job in a busy office downtown. On the first day, I was completely lost and even managed to get into the wrong meeting room. Suddenly, a colleague came over and said with a smile, “Don’t worry, I’ll help you find your way.” Her name was Anna, and she showed me around the office. We soon discovered that we had a lot in common: we both loved Italian food, enjoyed reading crime novels, and hated early Monday mornings. After a while, we began having lunch together every day. What started as small chats during coffee breaks slowly turned into a strong friendship. Even after changing jobs, we have stayed close, and we still meet at least once a week.
Story 2: By Accident
Sometimes the best things happen by chance. One rainy evening, I was waiting for a bus, but of course, I had forgotten my umbrella. I was standing under a small roof, trying not to get completely wet. Suddenly, a girl came up and said, “You can share mine if you like.” The umbrella was so small that we both ended up getting wet, but we laughed about it all the way to the bus. On the ride, we started talking and discovered we lived on the same street and even liked the same gym. In fact, we had probably passed each other many times before but never noticed. Since that evening, we’ve been inseparable. Whenever it rains, we still laugh and remember the day we first met.
Story 3: Childhood Bond
My best friend and I met many years ago, when I was about nine. My family had just moved to a new neighborhood, and I didn’t know anyone. One afternoon, I was outside with my dog when a boy about my age came over and asked if he could play with the dog. We started talking, and soon he introduced me to a group of kids who played football in the park nearby. At first, I felt shy, but he encouraged me to join in. From that day, we spent almost every afternoon together — playing, talking, or riding bikes. Over time, our friendship grew stronger. Even now, as adults, we still watch football games together and share our problems. Our friendship has lasted more than twenty years, and I know it will last forever.
